About Telehealth
Whether you live in a big city or in a rural area throughout the state, you and I can hold therapy sessions via video or telephone. Video sessions are easy to set up, and just require an internet connection and a phone, tablet, or computer. For those without a reliable internet connection, phone sessions are also available.
Telehealth has become an essential tool in today’s world. Online sessions can also increase accessibility for those in need of another form of care outside of the office setting. Though in-person office visits may be necessary in certain cases, there are many benefits of telehealth care.
Telehealth Benefits Include:
-
Telehealth visits ensure you get mental health care wherever you are located – at home, at work, or even in your car
-
Cuts down on travel, time off from work, and the need for child care
-
Helps those with limited mobility get the mental health support they need
-
Telehealth can shorten the wait for an appointment compared to in-office visits
-
Increased access to specialists, or those who are best fit for you, who are located far away from your hometown
-
Offers a safe space in the comfort of your own home
-
Limited physical contact reduces everyone’s exposure to COVID-19 and other illnesses
Although telehealth works well for many people, it may not work for everyone, and is not recommended for the treatment of certain conditions. Please contact me to schedule a free, 15-minute consultation so we can determine if video or phone sessions would be appropriate for you.
